Framlingham College is an imposing mock-gothic building overlooking the Mere, a lake which is a haven for wildlife. Aldeburgh, on the Suffolk Heritage Coast, is just fifteen miles away, and other places to visit include the beautiful villages of Constable Country, Minsmere bird reserve and Snape Maltings. There are a number of cycle routes and way marked walks in the area and there is a good range of shops and places to eat in the town.
