Why not take a trip into the pretty village of Croyde, with its chocolate box cottages and quaint pubs and tearooms, or enjoy the far-reaching views up on Exmoor where there is an abundance of wildlife and many moorland walks. Saunton Sands, with just over 3.5 miles of golden sands is renowned for its surfing and windsurfing. A haven for the keen golfer with two 18 hole courses, one a championship course. At Ilfracombe you can enjoy fishing trips, seaside amusements, museum and art gallery. Barnstaple, the regional capital of North Devon, is even closer. This is a lively town with its weekly pannier market and never-ending choice of shops, inns and restaurants as well as a craft market and superb indoor leisure centre.
