Glaisters Cottage is set in the lovely area known as the Glenkens; an area renowned for its spectacular scenery. This attached cottage is over 150 years old and with lots of windows framing the beautiful landscape it is light and spacious and full of character. The setting is lovely; rural but not remote and close enough to tempt you into one of the small towns to sample a style of shopping which is fast disappearing elsewhere. The Glenkens is at the heart of Galloway and is the wildest and largest glen and relatively unspoiled. Its secrets are just waiting to be discovered from spectacular walking and amazing wildlife to beautiful jewel like lochs and magical forests. The Red Kite Trail is a good way to view these beautiful birds in their natural habitat as you discover the area
