Set within the grounds of the owner’s country house, this charming 350-year-old thatched cottage stands detached and exudes a wealth of character with its vaulted ceiling, oak beams and limestone floors. With easy access to the A12, Aldeburgh and Southwold with their summer theatres are within 20 minutes’ drive, and the cottage makes a fine holiday base for touring this beautiful part of East Anglia and the Heritage Coast. Also within 20 minutes’ drive, there is bird-watching at Minsmere, walking at Dunwich, a sandy beach at Walberswick, music at Snape, and golf, fishing, riding and sailing locally. Yoxford itself offers shops, two fine restaurants and two pubs serving good food.
