This well-preserved, three-storey weaver’s cottage is one of a row set in the quiet Sir Richard Arkwright Society Heritage Site. Beautifully restored, it was built in the 1770s for the weavers who worked at the world’s first water-powered cotton mill. Excellent walks nearby leading to Black Rocks, High Peak Trail, Cromford Mills and canal. Chatsworth House, Haddon Hall, many NT properties and Carsington Water (watersports, bird-watching) within easy reach. Shop 500 yards, pub 200 yards. Beamed living room with open fire, laminate floor. Step up to well-equipped compact kitchen/dining room, stone-flagged floor. Small rear hall leading to shower room with toilet. Steep stairs to first floor: Beamed double bedroom with mullion windows, en-suite toilet. Very steep stairs to second floor: Double bedroom (four-poster bed, sleeps one), en-suite shower room and toilet.
